• Over 20 years cumulative experience in research in various areas including Pesticide Analysis in Soil and Water, Mutagenicity
Studies, Enantiomeric Drug Synthesis, Organometallic Catalysis and Mesoporous Hybrid-Organosilica Materials Synthesis and
Characterization, Computer-Simulations and Modeling Studies in Drug Development and Reaction Mechanism Investigation,
Chemical Safety and Chemical Education (curriculum development and development of online interactive learning modules and
training manuals)
• Over 15 years direct experience in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation, working in a diverse, multi-
cultural, regional and international work environment:
o As On-Site Technical Expert for Southeast Asia and Project Leader under the European Union-Centres of Excellence in CBRN

stakeholders (technical experts, government agencies, international organisations, academic communities, military) and for
national, regional and international conferences and workshops with topics on CBRN National Action Plan development/updating
and implementation strategies, Biosafety and Biosecurity Risk Assessment for SEA Region, Safety Practices in the Teaching
Laboratory, Chemical Waste Management, Quality Systems for Industries, Micro-scale Experiments in General Chemistry and the
use of Computer Modelling and Simulations to Enhance Student Learning
• Extensive experience in the development and implementation of chemical safety management system and conduct of risk
assessments for hazardous substances, including packing and shipping of dangerous goods, as well as participation in internal and
external audits based on ISO Standards, including development of quality documentation (development of SOP’s, Work Instructions,
Test Protocols, Instructional Materials), technical writing for scientific publications, policy reference tools, laboratory manuals and
training materials with assessment/exercises development of project proposals and development/design of knowledge
management systems
• Experienced in project management, development of country- and regional-based project proposals networking and coordination
with national (government agencies like DFA, DOST, NDRRMC, DOE, PNRI) regional (ASEAN bodies) and international organisations
(UNICRI, UN-1540, WHO, BWC-ISU, IAEA, OPCW, EU-CBRN CoE, WTO, Interpol, JAEA, Australia-DFAT, US State Department and US-
DTRA), including administrative experience in the management of analytical services and quality control laboratories (in private and academic institutions) and academic institutions
