II. Admission to the Graduate (MS and PhD) Programs of the Institute of Chemistry

The UP Diliman College of Science Associate Dean for Mentoring, Academic Progress and Advancement (ADMAPA) is in charge of the Graduate Office of the College of Science. The CS Graduate Office manages anything related to graduate students---the graduate studies application, scholarships and academic records.

As a primary keeper of the graduate student records, the Graduate Office evaluates the academic standing of all CS graduate students; it also administers readmission, leave of absence, registration, and dropping, etc.

After acceptance to the graduate program, all non-UP graduates are required to take advanced placement examinations in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.  These examinations are scheduled first week of August or the week during the 1st-semester registration.

Minimum Requirements for Acceptance to the Chemistry Graduate Programs.

Each graduate program (Diploma, MS(Thesis or Non-Thesis Track),

PhD (Option I), PhD (Option 2), PhD (Option 3) has its unique set of admission requirements.
